Mimo is the world’s first app of moments for anybody to buy, sell and license their copyright. Those photos and videos you capture before, during, and after concerts, sports games, or everyday events can now be turned into something collectible in exchange for cash.

With Mimo, you can:

• Upload your moments - to showcase for others to discover.
• Mimo will check your moments - to ensure it is original, authentic and not silly i.e. objectionable and then register your copyright
• Connect with interested people - such as superfans, athletes, artists, brands, and media companies.
• Sell, buy or license your moment - to anybody who expresses interest, for them to receive a certificate of authenticity and the copyright from Mimo
• Receive your money - once the certificate is shipped completing the exchange of the copyright assignment agreement.

On Mimo, content becomes treasure:

• Share your moments with the world: Upload and list your moments. If someone values your content, Mimo formalises the selling process by shipping them a certificate of authenticity of the moment with the copyright assignment agreement, and you, as the seller, get money transferred to your bank account by Mimo once shipment is complete.
• Make iconic moments yours: Browse moments from concerts, games, or any event. To own these pieces of history, you will be shipped a physical certificate confirming the authenticity of the moment together with the assignment of the copyright agreement.

Because your moments deserve more than just “likes”.

Example 1: You film Messi scoring a goal. On social media you’d get thousands of ‘likes’ or ‘views’, but on Mimo, an official physical certificate could be shipped to someone who treasures the authenticity of that moment and wants own the copyright.

Example 2: At a Taylor Swift concert, a fan records a special front-row moment. On Mimo, another fan could officially own and showcase it by receiving a collectible certificate.

Example 3: At a recent Coldplay concert, remember the fan recording ‘that’ special moment of that couple which received 2m views? On Mimo, that fan could have sold the copyright for a lot of money to the many interested people.

When people like fans, players, artists or organisations express interest to own a moment:

1. Mimo records the request to own.
2. Mimo processes the payments.
3. A physical certificate of authenticity is created with the assignment of copyright agreement and shipped to the person by Mimo.
4. The creator receives their money after shipment from Mimo.

People now have supporting information to the ownership of their moments, which today is very hard to prove. Mimo is your first step to protect your moments from others making money from it.

The certificate makes you the recognised owner of that moment’s collectible record. You can:

• Showcase it.
• Gift it.
• Transfer it later by re-listing on Mimo (a new certificate will be issued to the new owner).

Mimo never owns the content — we only connect fans, creators, and organisations

This is another great part of Mimo. If you are the absolute original creator of a moment and it gets resold once, twice or many times, you will always get a commission from Mimo of that new price it was sold for. This means you that if you capture an iconic moment, you could keep making money from it.

This is the cool thing with Mimo as the answer is a big "Yes".

For example, I know that I have hundreds of photos out of the 15,000 on my phone (or even as 35mm negatives and videos) that are iconic and people can buy them. I’ll list say 100 photos on Mimo.

Of the 14,900 photos left, I know that 3,000 are not originally mine as they were sent to me by friends and family. I also know that 2,000 photos are private. This leaves me with 9,900 photos still sitting on my phone – doing nothing.

Now, with Mimo, you can upload the 9,900 photos where again Mimo will check them for originality and then license the photos to train AI models.

Cool bit? Mimo will pay you a commission if your data is used – similar to how Spotify pay their streaming artists.

Yes. Copyright law grants ownership to the creator of original photos or videos. Mimo helps formalise recognition of that ownership by issuing a physical certificate of authenticity.

Downloading Mimo is free.

• Free plan: Upload a limited number of moments weekly.
• Moment Transfers: Creators contribute a small fee from their rewards and safe payment fee; interested people pay a processing and shipping fee.

Mimo enforces an acceptable use policy:

• No harmful, explicit, or misleading content.
• Repeat offenders may be banned.
• Creators and interested parties are protected against fraud.
• Creators of moments cannot have their moments exploited even after they have sold them.

Always follow event rules. If organisers flag content, Mimo may remove it. People who have bought moments are protected with refunds if necessary.

Mimo offers a new way to engage fans. Instead of fighting fan content and fraud, organisers can let fans register and list their moments on Mimo. If then those moments are bought and sold after, then the sports and concert organisers can get a commission from Mimo.

In parallel, Mimo helps create a new category of merchandise and fan channel for sports and entertainment rightsholders alongside the tickets, apparel, and memorabilia —because now, for the first time, the rightsholders can now sell their own authentic content to their fans and followers through Mimo too.
